Drillhole object visualization improvements
Drillhole interval selection
A new option allows you to display drillhole object data along the trace, making it easier to visualize records from geology or assay tables for a selected interval.
To choose an interval table from the available list, simply apply color coding. Any field—text or numeric—can be selected to define the color ranges.
Users can also enable the Solid Trace option with any radius for more convenient selection, and hide unnecessary intervals for improved clarity. By clicking on an individual solid along the trace, the corresponding interval table data will be shown, including all values from every field related to that interval.
In addition, the drillhole ID from the collar file is now displayed for each selection.
Show labels along the trace
If you want to label grades or lithology codes along your drillhole traces, this option is designed for you. Simply open the color coding menu via the color box, choose the interval file and the field you’d like to use for labeling, then enable Show Labels to display values directly along the trace.
Please note: this option is only available when Vertical Exaggeration is set to 1.
For more detail, you can switch to Section View, zoom in, or use Solid View. Selecting any interval will display its complete record information along with the associated value.
Drillhole search and filter
To quickly and easily locate a drillhole in your pattern, a new Find Drillhole option is now available for each Drillhole object version.
The Find Drillholes dialog displays all unique drillhole names from your drillhole database. The Select value field is editable, allowing you to enter any drillhole name manually.
Additionally, there are two more options:
- Show only selected drillhole – hides all other drillholes in the pattern.
- Hide other layers – hides additional layers (such as DTM or ore body wireframes) if they are loaded in the viewer.
When a drillhole is selected, the tool automatically centers the screen on its position and displays the Collar properties for the chosen drillhole.
Custom colour ranges in Edit colour set
If you want to use your own custom breakpoints for color coding based on any numeric field, you can skip the Percentile Calculation option and manually enter the breakpoints by adding intervals in the Edit Colour Set dialog. You can then save this colour set to the Scene so that your drillhole or point objects will retain the same color coding the next time you visualize them.
Hide drillhole names/depths
If your drillhole data is too dense or noisy and it’s hard to focus on specific details, you can use the Hide Drillhole Name and Hide Drillhole Depths options to remove labels for total depth and drillhole names. Simply open the three-dots menu on the Drillhole object layer and select these features from the dropdown list. Use the same process to bring the labels back when needed.
Viewer improvements
Viewer toolkit shortcuts
The Viewer toolkit buttons support keyboard shortcuts that are consistent with those used in Micromine Origin and later products.
Zoom to selection tool
If you want to zoom in on a specific area of your data, you can use the Zoom to Selection mode in the Zoom tool from the Viewer toolkit. Simply click the Zoom tool, choose this mode from the dropdown, and draw a rectangular selection with the left mouse button to zoom into the region of interest.
Check out/in functionality
Users can now check out files from a Nexus project to temporarily lock them, preventing other users from uploading new versions. This feature helps team members collaborate more efficiently on the same project and avoid version “forks.”
When a file is checked out, a tooltip displays the check-out time, the user who checked it out, and any associated comments. The check-out status is visible across all Nexus interfaces — including Project, Search, Info Panel, and Tasks — as well as in client applications such as Micromine Origin and Micromine Beyond.
If a checked-out file is uploaded to the Vizex panel or used in any dialog, its check-out status and tooltip information will be displayed accordingly. Additionally, users can check out layers that are currently being edited directly from Micromine Origin and Micromine Beyond.
MM Origin & Beyond integration
Improved Form set manager
The new Form Set Manager inside Micromine Origin & Beyond 2026 simplifies the process of migrating form sets between a local project, a Nexus project, or a Nexus Workspace. With a single action, users can now upload all their local form sets to Nexus, streamlining project setup and ensuring consistency across environments.
Context menu in File manager applet
A context menu has been added to the File Manager applet in the MM Origin & Beyond application (on the Nexus side of the window) to provide easier access to functions such as Check Out, Manage Permissions, and others.
Revert button in Upload and sync applets
Nexus applets such as Upload, Sync, and File Manager now include a Revert Changes button, allowing users to restore modified files to their original state if they do not have permission to sync local changes for files or form sets.
Other improvements
Context menu in Search
A context menu is now available in the Search results. Users can easily select multiple files to download, subscribe to updates, or change permissions for individual items — all in a more convenient way than before.
