How does object versioning work?

 

Description

Versioning is an effective tool in making sure your different iterations of your object can be found in the same place without needing to saving separate copies. The versions will provide you with a history of changes and new versions of objects will appear in all directories where the object is stored. 

Steps

1. Select the object you would like to upload a new version of to display the Info panel.
2. Click Upload new version.
3. Click Add File and browse to the new version you would like to upload.
4. On the right pane, under Info, you will receive an option to provide a description of the version as well as an option to Create new branch (optional). In many cases this may not be required, however, branching allows you to explore different work scenarios which aids in decision-making. Branch lines show revisions along that line. 
   
5. Cn the right pane, under Attributes, populate any required attributes for the object
6. Finally, click Upload Files. 

If you need to access an early version of your project objects, simply click the object to bring up the Info panel, scroll down and click the circle that corresponds to the version.
